Hybrid Self

Hybrid Self explores how social media and computer games influence the way we construct and perceive our identities today. In digital spaces, we constantly create versions of ourselves—through avatars, curated profiles, and online interactions—that can feel as real as our offline selves.

Drawing from the psychological impact of digital life, Hybrid Self asks how deeply these technologies influence not just how we present ourselves to others, but how we come to see and understand ourselves. The work reflects a generation caught between authenticity and image, visibility and distortion, longing and control.
